Marketing campaign promoting the externship program where UW College of Arts & Sciences majors can explore how the liberal arts and the tech world intersect with Amazon & Microsoft employee mentors.
AT A GLANCE
The Amazon & Microsoft externship program is only open to students majoring in the College of Arts & Sciences. Externships are led by Microsoft and Amazon employees who mentor students to get insider knowledge around the roles and diversity of a global workforce. Fundamentals of professionalization and career development are explored through the lens of Seattle’s global innovators.
GOALS & OBJECTIVES
OUTCOMES
The CAS marketing team developed a marketing campaign targeting current students to apply for the Externship program via digital ads on social media and at OOH kiosks at student hubs on campus. Outreach activities included zoom panels and videos presented at freshman student orientation events held virtually. As a result, student applications increased and the program is expanding their offerings to mentors employed at non-profit organizations.
ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES
My role included developing an outreach campaign and creative concept for promotional collateral. Direct and drive digital marketing efforts by working on an advertising plan for social media and campus venues. Provided creative direction of designs for photography, web page designs, social media ads, and video production.
